Diggins Partners with Swix Sport USA

HAVERHILL, MA- Swix Sport USA is pleased to welcome Jessie Diggins as a sponsored athlete through the 2018 Olympic season. A steadfast competitor, Diggins has risen to the top of International results page since her world debut at the 2011 World Championships in Holmenkollen.

Fresh off a successful season that saw a Tour de Ski stage victory, as well as podium finishes in the Lahti Sprint, the Nove Mesto 10K and the Lillehammer relay World Cup events, Diggins has banked the confidence necessary to continue her progress, “Winning my first World Cup was a huge moment for me, because it broke the glass ceiling that US Women’s distance skiing had been under. Previously, I had thought it was nearly impossible to keep up with the Scandinavian countries in distance races, and when I finally won and then went on to gain more distance podiums I started to really race with confidence, knowing that I belong in the fight for the win.”

This week Jessie kicks off a two-week US Ski Team camp in Bend, Oregon, before heading to Stratton, Vermont to train with here SMS / T2 teammates. “This month is a great mix of on-snow time, recovery and good roller skiing terrain.”

Known for her high energy racing and grit, Jessie Diggins brings power to all pursuits: A community minded skier, she continues to be involved in junior outreach programs in her home state of Minnesota, she’s raised money for ski focused charities and in the spirit of high energy fun, she’s been the choreographer for the viral U.S. Ski Team dance tributes of the past two seasons.

“I’m also excited to be collaborating with Swix to design some signature items, coming soon! I believe wholeheartedly that skiing and racing should be fun and I’m thrilled to be able to share that through new product lines that I’m connect to. Swix is an ideal partner. I believe that Swix can give me that extra edge I need to continue to step up in my racing, and I can’t wait to try the newest Triac pole. I want to become the best in the World, so it makes sense to be racing on the best equipment in the World.”

Jessie Diggins will use the forthcoming Triac 2.5 as well as Swix gloves in competition. Follow Jessie on Instagram for a look at her training this summer and a preview of more Swix gear new for the coming winter.
