Julbo Sponsors Himalayan Cataract Project Benefit at OR Show

Posted:

The Himalayan Cataract Project works to eradicate preventable and curable blindness through high quality ophthalmic care, education and the establishment of a world-class eye care infrastructure.  Dr. Geoff Tabin, started the Himalayan Cataract Project to fulfill a personal goal of eradicating as much unnecessary blindness as possible.

Dr. Tabin, a committed climber and friend to Julbo, has proven that hospital quality standards can be applied in poor areas lacking electricity and clean water with an inventive approach and dogged perseverance. See a presentation from Dr. Tabin at the Outdoor Retailer show and learn what 20 years ago was considered impossible in serving eye care to the developing world. Don’t miss benefit sales from $40 Julbo Vermont Glacier Glasses, $15 Julbo Megève and a signed copy of Dr Geoff Tabin’s book at the show.

Dr. Geoff Tabin, the project’s co-founder, will speak at booth #6045 at 5:00PM on August 5th, the first night of the OR Show. Beer (Uinta Pale Ale) and snacks served.
